(bet 18th & 19th) Nice, quiet location, some seating outside, seating inside (but can get cramped).
Stopped there on my last extended trip in since I heard it has the best coffee in the city. And well..... the coffee is pretty darn good (their blend). I grabbed a cup twice a day (morning and late afternoon) each day of my stay -- same blend. I became addicted to it. It was that good. Another plus were some bakery items from Balthazar (& others) in their case -- had an orange brioche, one day, and then again the next. The second day it didn't taste as fresh... So I don't know how long they hold the items.
Anyway, I purchased a bag of their house blend beans to take back to LI. Not sure if it's the bagged beans or my high in chlorine water out on the island, but it didn't taste anywhere close to the cups I had at the cafe.
For you coffee lovers, stop and try a cup.
