I'm arranging a Sunday Lunch for about 60 French winemakers (including a Burgundian folk singing troupe), the day after a major wine event. The past few years, we took them to Chinatown (Manhattan). I wanted to try something different this year.
Tried Katz's Deli, but I was basically told Sunday at 1pm is a busy time, they don't need our money, go away.
Any ideas? Budget is about $25/pp. I want to order everything in advance, family style.
I was thinking Brighton Beach Russian, or maybe Junior's. Can't do Thai or Indian, they don't tolerate the spice. Tierras Colombianas? Roosevelt Avenue would be cool, is there a place large enough to accomodate and English speaking enough for me to arrange in advance?
