5th Ave. Key Foods

Just wanted to second a recommendation that I read on this board some time ago, regarding the 5th Ave. Key Foods. Only knowing the crappy Key Foods on 7th Ave., I had been skeptical of the recommendation posted here of the 5th Ave. one. Despite that, we decided to stop by this Saturday (after a trip to Sahadi's and Staubitz -- when you have use of a car, you gotta capitalize on it!) -- at worst, I thought, we could pick up some heavy stuff. Check it out.

Was I surprised! They had all sorts of stuff! My husband is British, and was mightily impressed by the availability of Wheetabix, Hob Nobs, real Heinz beans (try the British kind -- unlike the super-sweet American baked beans, you won't go into diabetic shock after eating them) and Birds custard. They had two types of creme fraiche AND fromage blanc! They had every type of rice under the sun! They had nice prepared blintzes! We were very happy campers.
