Hi Philly. Each summer my wife and I and 2 sons (11-9) visit a city for a ballgame and good food. this summer we are coming to Philly. We have enlisted chowhounders from san fransisco, seattle, toronto etc to help us out with whats new and interesting/funky in town. Our boys are experienced "foodies in training" and are well behaved and adventurous eaters. Our overwhelming majority experience is that servers like to see well mannered, respectful young people. So, that is some backround info, and this is what we have planned so far. please look at the post and chime in if you want and feel free to make suggestions. Also we are staying in city center, taking transportation is not a big deal, just easier if closer
We have reservations at Osteria and Farm & Fisherman
We are going to spend time tooling around Reading Terminal market
We are going to hit Capogiro at some point
We are looking at Village Whiskey for happy hour
We are looking at Tinto, Amada etc for tapas at some point.
