I am making my 11th trip to NO for food/fun and have the following tentative plan. Any comments and suggestions are welcome. Price isn't really an issue, as we only do this once a year. We don't mind dressing up, but we can get funky if we need to. The choices here reflect past good times (Galatoire's, Upperline) and desire for new experiences (Jacques Imo, Mandina, Herbsaint). I chose Herbsaint over Brigsten's simply because I've eaten at Brigsten's and wanted to try something new.
Wednesday 7/27 Dinner at Galatoire's (Is Hudson still there? Any other waitrons to ask for?)
Thursday 7/28 Early lunch at Mandina's (Anything we simply MUST order? Would Mandina's be a better Sunday dinner choice?)
Dinner at Jacques Imo's
Friday 7/29 I am taking a class at Frank Brigsten's New Orleans Cooking Experience, so a late heavy lunch is scheduled.
Late dinner at Cobalt (unless someone has a good idea)
Saturday 7/30 Early brunch at Commander's
Late dinner at Herbsaint
Sunday 7/31 Gospel Brunch at Praline Connection
Late dinner at Upperline
Monday 8/1 Lunch recommendation?
You all have been helpful in the past, so thanks in advance!
