Looking forward to a long New Year's Eve weekend in Paris, and contemplating the following question:
Is it worth it to try to reserve at a legendary (and legendarily expensive) restaurant (not for the Eve itself, which will be spent with friends in a cozy bistro) and if so which one? What say you, Chowhounds? Please comment on the atmosphere as well - intimidating, stuffy, overly formal are what I fear...
I go to Paris once a year and have many delicious restaurants that I adore, but have lingered in the lower to mid-ranges until now...
