2nd visits-Efe's & Havana Cafe

I've made second visits to both of these places, bringing other tasters with me, and will still say these two restaurants are definately chow-worthy.

Efe's is all family, and they are so terribly concerned about making you happy that it's almost overboard. Sweet, though, and clearly they are happy when their customers are happy. And ask that we tell our friends. They don't look like they are hurting for business during lunch. I've now tasted the rotisserie beef, ground lamb and cubed lamb plates. And my preference is in exactly that order. (which is a credit to the beef as I'm a known lamb freak.) Only down side was they were out of Turkish wine when I was there. Would have like to have tried a glass.

Havana Cafe makes, I think, some of the most deletible chicken dishes in town. Amazingly moist and tender and flavorful. I was steered away from the Arroz con Pollo entree by the waiter, and ordered a chicken dish with mushrooms, tomatoes and garlic, garlic, garlic. Over white rice. the take home leftovers made my fridge smell wonderful for a day, and were still delicious for lunch the next day. Friend had the combo plate (the most expensive entree on the menu, I think), and also was surprised to find that she also liked the chicken best, though the beef and pork were nearly as good. Two entrees, one beer, one mojito - $45 including tax.
