Good News on the Pumpkin-Chucking Front

In response to the increasing demands of pumpkin-hurling technology, the Mount Vernon, Washington, Pumpkin Hurl is upping the size of its gourd firing range to 3,000 feet. The AP reports that the trebuchet-launched fruits will blacken the sky on October 4, pitting at least seven teams from the United States and Canada against one another. Says the AP: “Defending champion TreBarbaric with be there with its 78-foot-tall pumpkin-pitching machine.”

But who will be there to make pie from the pieces? Who?
