Thwarting the Candy Bandit

Candy is a medium that may be underrated in the art world. But from fine art to pop art, works made of the sweet stuff can be irresistible.

Perhaps too irresistible. In Sheboygan, Wisconsin, a man was so overcome with lust for a three-foot-tall yellow peanut M&M’s statue that he tried to steal it from his local Pick N’ Save. He was thwarted by a heroic employee. Was the statue made of M&M’s? Or was it of an M&M? While the news stories are mum, I fear my vision of a three-foot hunk of glued-together M&M’s is a mere fantasy, and the statue in question is of this guy.
