With winter approaching and heartier foods taking center stage, there’s no better time for a glass of Roussanne. Although best known for its Viognier, Garretson Wine Company produces a Roussanne that has captured my attention. In typical Roussanne fashion there are plenty of tropical fruit and mineral flavors, but there’s also a hint of sweetness that lends itself beautifully to spicy and fatty foods. This wine would be a nice contribution to a Thanksgiving meal, and at $28 a bottle you can add variety and flair without breaking the bank.
