Hannosuke’s Tempura Bowls Are Made to Eat Fast

Hannosuke, the first American branch of a famed Japanese chain, has great fried-to-order tempura bowls, as long as you eat them right away, J.L. says. The tempura and rice get soggy fast.

The original tendon bowl is definitely one delicious bowl of tempura, taiwanesesmalleats says. The highlights are the runny fried egg and the fried nori. Tempura bowls come with miso soup and a bit of ginger, which helps to counteract their mildly greasy texture.
