"I love adding garam masala to my homemade baked apple dishes in the fall. It's yummy in apple crisp, apple pie or applesauce. Or used to spice up hot apple cider. "I love finely chopped broccoli as a salad. I usually lightly 'steam' it for 30 seconds in the microwave with just the water from washing it. My current addiction is a clove of garlic crushed to a paste with salt, olive oil, pepper, and juice of half a lemon. Dang it's good. Throw in dried cranberries and toasted almonds if you've got company." – PBandT

"The most complicated dish I ever made was a chocolate cake that looked like a chocolate cabbage—one spherical chocolate cake surrounding chocolate mousse and the whole thing covered with chocolate cabbage leaves made by pouring melting chocolate over real cabbage leaves, peeling off the cooled chocolate leaves and putting the whole thing together—on Christmas morning with two kids under 8 years old. ... I will never again spend Christmas morning in the backyard pouring chocolate over cabbage leaves. The cake was spectacular and I wish I had a picture." – Fiona
