Egg Salad

Alton Brown's favorite way to up-level an egg salad sandwich is by adding bacon and pouring the remaining bacon fat into your roughly chopped eggs for extra flavor.

Scrambled Eggs

Brown adds a teaspoon of mayonnaise to his eggs before scrambling them to keep them creamy. This works because they're both emulsified and blend together well.

Negroni

If you swap the gin for whiskey in a Negroni, you get the Boulevardier, one of Brown's favorite cocktails. It’s the ideal drink for warming up on cooler nights.

Brussels Sprouts

Along with crumbling bacon over your Brussels sprouts after cooking, Brown suggests tossing them in the leftover bacon fat for a burst of deliciousness.

Coffee Beans

Brown says that you should ground coffee beans immediately before brewing. Grinding them in advance allows many of the oils and aromatic compounds to break down.
