Standing for "The Country's Best Yogurt," TCBY rose to prominence in the 1980s and had nearly 1,800 locations by the early 2000s, when it was bought by Mrs. Fields.

China Coast

First opened by General Mills Restaurants Inc. in 1990, China Coast reached 51 locations nationwide at its peak, but faced stiff competition and shut down in 1995.

Karmelkorn

Karmelkorn was founded in 1929 and began to open mall locations in the mid-1900s, reaching 270 locations across 43 states by the ‘80s when
