Despite the McRib's reputation as a limited item, there are actually two places in the world that serve the McRib year-round: Germany and Luxembourg only.

In fact, the McRib was originally a failure and was removed from the menu in 1985, but fans demanded for the item to return, causing McDonald’s to make it a seasonal item.

The sandwich was made permanent in Germany and Luxembourg due to high customer demand. The sandwich became so popular in these countries that McDonald's made an exception.
