Why You Can't Visit The Original Cracker Barrel Location

While there are many Cracker Barrel restaurants to visit, one location that won't be accessible is the chain's very first location, which opened in Lebanon, Tennessee, in 1969.
Founder Dan Evins grew Cracker Barrel into a national chain with about 660 locations. The fast evolution left the original location behind, and the building wasn't used for years.
There was an attempt to relocate it to a Wilson County historical preservation site that's themed as a retro rural village, but experts deemed it to be in irreparable condition.
