Which Salt Is Ina Garten's All-Time Favorite To Cook With?

Not all salts are made equal and there are plenty to choose from. Ina Garten knows this all too well and doesn’t stick to one variety; she stocks her pantry with three of them.
For most of her cooking, Garten’s go-to is Kosher salt, specifically Diamond Crystal brand, as it doesn’t have iodine — which can lead to a metallic taste — and has coarser grains.
In a kitchen tour for the New York Times, Garten noted that Diamond Crystal kosher salt is not as salty as some other kosher salts, so adjust your measurements accordingly.
The other two salts she keeps are Maldon flakey sea salt and Fleur de sel from French brand Le Saunier de Camargue. They are both used as finishing salts for flavor and texture.
