Alcohol in shot glass
What It Means To Order An Angel Shot
At A Bar

The angel shot isn't a real drink but a code word for customers to alert bar staff that they're feeling unsafe due to another customer harassing them or acting creepily.
If it’s ordered neat, the staff should escort the customer to their car. If it's on the rocks, the staff should order a cab. Ordering it with lime alerts staff to call the police.
However, the code words may change from bar to bar. If a bar uses the system, the exact details should generally be advertised in locations
like the women's restroom.
Sadly, the angel shot helps only if the bartender knows what it is and how to handle the situation. It’s also hard
to publicize without letting harassers in on the code word.
