Pink lemonade is just regular lemonade with a bit of extra coloring. However, the coloring agent used will vary depending on whether the lemonade is made commercially or at home.

Anything from grenadine to beet juice can be used as a coloring agent. Many companies, including Minute Maid, make pink lemonades using concentrated grape juice.

Technically, any lemonade that is pink in color can be labeled “pink lemonade,” so products like strawberry lemonade also fit the bill. You can easily make pink lemonade at home.

Start by making regular lemonade and then, add a few drops of red food coloring. Alternatively, swap out the food coloring for a red juice, like cranberry or strawberry juice.
