Deep-fried milk is literally milk that has been fried, albeit with a few modifications along the way. The dessert boasts a delicate outer crust with a sweet, gelatin-like inside.

To prepare the dish, begin by heating milk, cornstarch, and sugar over medium heat until they form a gelatinous custard. Then, allow the custard to cool in the fridge overnight.

Once set, cut the custard into small bars and dip them into a batter of egg and flour. Next, coat the bars with bread crumbs and let them cool in the fridge for a few minutes.

Then, fry them in vegetable oil heated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for a minute per bar. Serve the bars plain or with condensed milk, powdered sugar, cinnamon, honey, or ice cream.

It is important to note that fried milk doesn’t maintain its quality for long, so it’s wise not to overindulge. Make sure to prepare only as many treats as you can consume.
