Nespresso’s Vertuo machine allows consumers to choose between espresso and coffee, and TikTok users are using their Nespresso coffee

pods to make double espressos.

There are two ways to turn a 7.7-ounce Nespresso coffee pod into a 2.7-ounce double espresso. The first is as easy as pressing the brew button twice, turning it turquoise.

This puts the machine into Coffee Creations mode, concentrating the coffee as it's extracted. This feature is available on all Vertuo machines, even the least expensive model.

The second method permanently changes how the machine brews that pod type. Hold the brew button as the coffee dispenses, stopping just before it dispenses the volume you want.

From a price perspective, it's cheaper to use an espresso pod if you want espresso. Still, if you want an espresso and only have coffee pods, you can easily use them in a pinch.
