The State That Drinks The Most Beer Might Surprise You

Almost all Americans can universally agree on their love for beer, but perhaps no state loves it more than North Dakota — the heaviest beer-drinking state.

A national survey conducted in 2021 by the Brewers Almanac from the Beer Institute found that North Dakota drank a staggering 37.5 gallons per capita that year.

Put another way, that volume amounts to around 400 12-ounce cans. If you look at the larger context, this amount is well above the 2021 national average of 23.5 gallons.
