Homemade salsa is always sure to please. However, to elevate its flavors to another level, let it rest for even 20 minutes before serving so the ingredients can meld together.

Though a short time in the fridge allows your salsa to develop a distinct flavor, letting it sit overnight will bring out more depth and complexity in its flavor.

It also allows certain ingredients, like lime, to mellow and taste less acidic. However, don't let it rest for more than three days, otherwise it may become unsafe to eat.
