The Rules To Follow When Preheating Your Air Fryer

If you're thinking of preheating your air fryer for a better result, consider that while some foods may taste better in the air fryer after preheating, other options may not.
In general, you shouldn't opt for preheating the fryer if you're preparing food items that are prone to drying out, such as fish or juicy chicken cutlets.
Moreover, any food that benefits from lower and slower cooking times, such as baked potatoes, should not experience the added heat so that they
can retain their moisture.
Once you're sure you can preheat the fryer for a specific food, set your air fryer to the temperature your recipe calls for, leaving the basket in the machine.
Let the fryer warm up for about 3 to 5 minutes, then you're ready to get cooking. Some models even have a preheating setting, so use this feature if it's available.
