The Only Ingredients Needed To Turn All-Purpose Flour Into Self-Rising

NEWS

Self-rising flour is a common ingredient in the world of baking, but if you don’t have it on hand, you can make it. All you need is all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
To make it, put 1 cup of regular flour, 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon of salt in a bowl, then whisk it thoroughly to create a homogenous mixture.
Homemade self-rising flour basically serves the same function as the store-bought one, so you can use it as a substitute in any recipe where the self-rising flour is required.
To store your DIY self-rising flour, pack it in an air-tight container and keep it in a pantry away from heat. It will be good for about six months before it starts deteriorating.
