If you're a steak fan constantly looking to improve your marination game, first try one often overlooked technique for getting a super flavorful steak: scoring.
It's an easy way of getting your marinade to really penetrate your cut of beef. First, use a knife to make shallow cuts running across the grain of the meat in one direction.
Go back over the cuts in the other direction, creating a diamond-like pattern, then repeat this on the other side. This makes the meat a little more tender and way easier to cut.
Plus, it lets you cram your marinade into every nook and cranny. Not only does the marinade penetrate deep into the meat, but you get even more deliciously crispy edges.
