The Most Affordable City For Michelin Star Dining

Initially a marketing ploy, the Michelin Guide has now become a revered culinary authority. Many of the guide’s restaurants are expensive, but there are a few affordable gems.
According to financial group John Lewis Finance, the most affordable city for Michelin dining is Tokyo. It is also the city with the most Michelin-starred restaurants in the world.
While there are no Michelin-starred restaurants in Tokyo that fall into the lowest price point, the guide includes other fairly-priced restaurants that are worthy of note.
In fact, 54 places, including Sosakumenkobo Nakiryu, Konjiki Hototogisu, and Chukasoba Ginza Hachigou, have a Bib Gourmand, the second-highest honor after a Michelin star.
Singapore’s Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle is the only restaurant in the world that falls into Michelin’s lowest price bracket and holds a star, whereas others are Bib Gourmands.
