The Ice Bucket Mistake To Avoid While Chilling Wine
NEWS

Chilling wines can enhance the sweet and flowery notes and dull some of the bitterness. However, if you use ice buckets for cooling, there are a few things to keep in mind.
For instance, if you put the ice into the bucket first and then set the bottle on top, only the lower part of the bottle will get cold, so make sure you put the bottle in first.
Once you’ve placed the bottle in the empty bucket, cover it with ice up to its neck. To speed up the cooling process, consider adding water on top of the ice.
The icy water will increase the surface area in contact with the bottle, allowing it to chill faster. Give the bucket a good stir to ensure the water circulates evenly.
You can also sprinkle salt into the ice water as it will make the water chill even more effectively by dropping its freezing point beyond the standard 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
