While the honeyed juice inside a can of peaches is what gives the fruit an extra sweet flavor and supple bite, there's a lot more you can do with it.

Instead of chucking your canned peach juice down the drain, use the liquid to whip up a simple Bellini. It will work nearly as well as the traditional peach puree.

Because canned peach juice contains extra sugars, while peach puree is just a simple blend of the fruit, this new take on a Bellini can taste sweeter and will be thinner.

To prepare the drink, combine chilled peach juice and prosecco in a champagne flute to taste. For a twist, freeze the peach juice and blend it before adding it to the prosecco.

If you want to cut down on the excess sweetness, blend the juice with ice, then combine it with the prosecco. Remember, canned peach juice can last for up to a week in the fridge.
