The Fast Food Chain That Actually Uses Sea Salt On Its Fries

Wendy's gave their french fry formula a makeover in 2010, adding a sea salt topping and switching to the "natural cut" version you're used to using for Frosty scooping.
Sea salt is produced by evaporating ocean water and tends to have a slightly stronger flavor. This is because the mineral is typically less processed than regular table salt.
Crispy french fries have been a Wendy's menu mainstay from the beginning, but the sea salt coating was added as part of a push to introduce "real" ingredients.
