In a 2015 interview with Eater, Anthony Bourdain called In-N-Out "the only fast food that I like and think is reasonably good for the world," especially their Double Double burger.

The two patties in the burger are thin, giving "maximum exposure" to your taste buds, which helps make the burger a "perfectly designed protein delivery system," said Bourdain.

Bourdain also vouched for the other burger components, praising the spongy-but-sturdy buns, "non-limp" lettuce, and the "cheese-like substance" from In-N-Out.

Bourdain didn't address why he thought In-N-Out was "good for the world" in the video, but it might be due to the company's transparency with food sourcing and sustainability.

If you're wondering how Bourdain ordered his burger, he went for Animal Style, which adds in pickles, grilled onions, and extra sauce.
