The Etiquette Rules When Working From A Coffee Shop

NEWS

When working from a coffee shop, buy more than just a single coffee to avoid freeloading and support the business, with a general rule of purchasing something every 1-2 hours.
However, if the café is very busy, buy items more frequently to avoid monopolizing tables. If it's near-empty, you might be able to get away without ordering more for a bit longer.
No matter how much stuff you buy, you probably shouldn't camp out for a full day in a coffee shop. Four hours is probably the point where you should move on.
Additionally, try not to be obtrusive; put your devices on silent as the sound of your device’s notifications might disturb others, and avoid using the shop as a meeting room.
Avoid scheduling meetings and phone calls while you’re at the café; be respectful to those around you. Lastly, pay attention to the cafe's vibe as many don't love laptop-dwellers.
