The flavor of a dry-aged steak is unparalleled, but it's a tedious process to try at home. However, you can mimic all the goodness of a dry-aged steak at home with an easy hack.

Rather than wait around a month for the dry-age process to complete, you can shave your aging time down to about eight hours using a handful of readily available ingredients.

Start by curing the beef in coarse salt. This helps mimic the aging by allowing some of the moisture to evaporate, accelerating the process of flavor concentration.

Next, prepare a marinade made from blue cheese, mushroom, and garum, which helps mirror the signature funky quality that meat develops over the course of dry aging.
