Hand holding a nearly empty bottle of sriracha
The Easy Step That Turns Empty Sriracha Into Flavorful Chili Oil

As it turns out, it's possible to prevent any sriracha from going to waste by repurposing the empty or nearly empty bottle — and the sauce in it — to make some flavorful chili oil.
To do so, you’ll need a neutral-flavored oil, like peanut, grapeseed, or vegetable. All you need to do is pour the oil directly into the sriracha bottle and shake it well.
If the mixture is heavier on oil, use it as a cooking fat to sauté food or add it to a brine. If it’s heavier on sriracha, use it as a finishing oil for any dish after it’s cooked.
