The Classic Soda You Need To Start Marinating Pork Chops In

Even after making them so many times, pork chops can still finish with the dreaded toughness. To avoid this and experience a delicious boost of flavor, marinate them in root beer.
In a relatively cost-effective, low-effort way, a root beer soak will tenderize your pork chops, more or less mimicking what citrus would have done in a scratch-made marinade.
All you have to do is let the soda sink in for a couple of hours. Just pop the soda and the meat in an airtight container to rest in the refrigerator before dinner.
Root beer also brings a little sweetness that you might have otherwise sought from brown sugar. However, you may want to add some spice, as well as salt and pepper, per your taste.
