The Best Way To Thicken Gravy Is So Simple

Out of the many tried-and-true methods to thicken gravy, the best way to do so is simpler thank you might think: Simply give the sauce a little more time on the stove.
Letting gravy simmer, uncovered, on the stovetop for longer — a process known as reducing — allows some of the excess liquid to evaporate without adding in any new ingredients.
Note that the main downside of this technique is that it can take a while. If it gets too thick and needs thinning out, add some liquid back into the gravy.
