Joey Chestnut, best known as the multi-year champion of the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, won the contest for the first time in 2007, where he ate a record-breaking 66 franks.
Chestnut won the lauded hot dog contest every year from 2007 to 2014, until Matthew Stonie defeated him in 2015. However, Chestnut did not give up.
In 2016, Chestnut won the Nathan's hot dog eating contest (taking the crown back from Stonie) by eating a record-breaking 70 hot dogs in ten minutes. He has won every year since.
Additionally, Chestnut broke the hot dog eating World Record in 2021 by gulping down a whopping 76 hot dogs in ten minutes. No one has beaten Chestnut's scores so far.
As of the time of writing, Chestnut has won Nathan's hot dog eating contest 16 times. He was also a part of ESPN’s documentary series, "30 for 30: The Good, The Bad, The Hungry."
