The Best Box Brownies Are Made With Coffee, Not Water

Since box brownies are so simple to bake, there’s plenty of bandwidth to spice up the recipe with some hacks and elevate the ordinary dessert into something truly delicious.
When used in place of water in a box brownie mix, coffee will give your brownies the needed moisture and a bold flavor by contrasting the chocolate’s sweetness with bitterness.
Ideally, you can replace the called-for water with any of your preferred varieties of coffee, be it a fresh brew from a K-cup pod, a French press, instant coffee, or espresso.
Simply add your brewed coffee at the same time you’d add the water, and stir to combine. No matter what brand or mix variety you’re using, all will benefit from this hack.
