The Best Blueberry Storage Is Also The Simplest

Blueberries are not known for their longevity, but with the right storage it's possible to keep them fresh for longer than a couple of days, and the solution couldn't be simpler.

The most important thing to know is that moisture is the enemy here, so generally speaking, the drier the blueberries are, the longer they'll last.

You'll want to store blueberries in a container that has airflow in it, so the pint containers with holes that blueberries are often sold in are perfect.

To keep moisture levels down in your blueberry container, don't rinse them before storage or dry them with a paper towel after rinsing and before storing.

You can also place a couple of sheets of paper towels in the container to absorb extra moisture. Before shutting the container, make sure you throw out any moldy or rotten berries.

Then, just place your blueberry container in the refrigerator. You can expect most of your blueberries to still be totally fine to eat for over a week.
