If you’re adventurous but don’t want to end up hating the food you’re handed, head in with a ranking of at least the most common items Costco food courts offer in the US.
Visit the food court at the busiest hours, ideally at lunch and dinner times. Thanks to the crowd, that’s when the food moves fast and is at its hottest and freshest.
Fridays are when people do a big shop for the weekend or a trip, while Saturdays and Sundays are always busy. Holidays are also bound to be a zoo, so plan your trip accordingly.
To avoid a mushy pizza, ask for your slice to be "well done." This will ensure your pizza is toasted in the oven again rather than served directly from the warmer.
You can skip the 10-minute wait at Costco food courts by calling ahead and ordering a pizza for pickup. To take a pizza home, order it while waiting to check out.
Before ordering your pizza, consider calling the food court to find out how long the wait will be at a certain point. You may want to give it over an hour at lunch and dinner time.
Pizzas ordered for pickup get cut into 12 slices, but you can ask the food court staff to cut your pie into various numbers (six, 12, or 18), and they’ll do it.
