12. Sugardale

Sugardale serves thickly sliced bacon with the fat marbled through each piece, but it tastes too bland and chewy. It's too thick to crisp up in a pan or an oven.
The only good thing about this brand is that it is an affordable option, priced at $10 for a 40-ounce package. It may be for you if you're looking to feed a crowd on a budget.

11. Applegate

Applegate Naturals serves bacon in one of the smallest packages. Its hickory-smoked, no-sugar bacon uses pork that is antibiotic-free and humanely-raised.
This bacon costs $7 for an 8-ounce package and is perfectly salty and savory, but it's also quick to burn in the oven. It may also come apart easily when lifted out of the package.

10. Giant

Shoppers at Giant should try the store's own brand of bacon, which offers the same taste and texture as some name-brand varieties but at a fraction of the price.
It comes in hickory-smoked, low-sodium, and thick-cut varieties and is one of the few brands offering maple bacon. It has a nice balance of meat and fat on each slice.

9. Good & Gather

Good & Gather's uncured bacon has no sugar and very few additives. It's available in thick-cut versions and is priced highly at $6 for a 12-ounce package.
The bacon slices also started shorter than most other brands and cooked down even more. The bacon's taste is great, with just the right balance of salt and pork.

8. Coleman

Coleman hickory-smoked bacon is made without antibiotics, hormones, or added nitrates or nitrites. Its slices are thin, so you need to pull it gently from the package.
The thinness helps it get extra crispy and cook faster. A package is around $8 for a 12-ounce pack and would be ideal for bacon cheeseburgers due to their salty and savory flavor.
