Stop Making These Ordering Mistakes At Texas Roadhouse

Menu Sizes

If you order a steak in a size offered on the menu, it might have been hand cut earlier in the day. However, the kitchen cuts custom sizes fresh to order.

No Extra Medallion

For a small upcharge, you can add a 3-ounce filet medallion to most orders, including the three-medallion entree — making the size of the dish 12 ounces.
You can also add extra medallions to other dishes, including chicken, ribs, seafood, and even a kid's meal, to make them even more savory and tasty.

End Cut

Prime rib is cooked much slower without an exterior sear, which makes it super tender but lacking in charred flavor. To make up for this, ask for the end cuts.
The end cuts come from the ends of the prime rib roast, which get more exposure to the heat than the tender, pink interior and, therefore, have a greater char.

Plain Butter

Texas Roadhouse steaks are finished with butter, and you can get them with special flavored butter, such as honey cinnamon butter or garlic butter, for extra flavor.

No Add-ons

Don't overlook the option to top your steak with extras. You can add a bleu cheese crust, sautéed mushrooms and onions, shrimp, or melted cheese to any steak.
