Spike Sweet Potato Pie With Eggnog For An Extra Rich Dessert

While the ideal method for crafting a sweet potato pie from scratch may vary among individuals, one delightful way to elevate the dessert is by introducing eggnog into the recipe.
This boozy ingredient can be used as a substitute for a portion or all of the regular or evaporated milk in your recipe, adding extra creaminess and flavor to the sweet potato pie.
If you want to maintain the pie’s signature light texture, substitute only a part of the milk with eggnog and consider using a low-fat dairy or plant-based version.
However, if you want the full flavor and elevated creaminess, try using more eggnog and one made with whole milk, heavy cream, and egg yolks.
For a family-friendly sweet potato pie, leave out the alcohol. On the other hand, if you do choose to add a spirit, whisk in 1 shot of liquor per 8 ounces of eggnog.
