Say Goodbye

To Muffin Tins With A Clever Mason Jar Hack

NEWS

By RAVEN BRUNNER

Muffins are usually baked in tins designed to make six or 12 muffins at a time, but if you don't have this special baking pan, turn to a sheet pan and a handful of Mason jar lids.
Take regular-sized lid bands from canning jars and line them up on a sheet pan with the band's wider mouth facing down. Place a muffin liner inside the smaller opening of the band.
Now, fill it with batter and bake as usual. The metal lids are heat proof so they'll be safe in the oven, but ensure that the liner fits snug against the edge of the metal lid.
With this hack, you can even make an irregular number of muffins, or even make just one to test the batter, without worrying about damaging the pan by leaving any muffin cup empty.
