Use As Baking Paper

To use butter wrappers as an eco-friendly alternative to baking paper or foil, place flattened, clean wrappers on baking pans before adding your dough or batter.
The natural wax or parchment paper material of butter wrappers provides a non-stick surface without requiring spray oils, ensuring your baked goods release easily without sticking.

Store Food

Being moisture-resistant, butter wrappers act as a bar against bacteria, preserving and prolonging the shelf life of perishables like meat, cheese, produce, and bread.
Beyond wrapping food entirely, you can use the wrappers to separate layers of food (like patties or bread) in the freezer or use them as buffers between sandwiches and meats.

Flavor Food

Store used butter wrappers in an airtight container in the fridge. Before placing your bread, pastries, or roasted veggies in the oven, rub the wrapper on their surface.
You can also wrap the paper around cooked steak, chicken, and sausages and let them rest with the heat off. This will give your food a buttery flavor without adding extra butter.

Grease Baking Pans

To grease your baking sheet without a non-stick spray, rub the inside of a used butter wrapper on the pan. This will make cleanup easier while flavoring the food.

Slice Cake

To make slicing baked goods easier, place a wrapper that’s free from any remaining chunks of butter in a sealable plastic bag and refrigerate it until it’s time to slice.
Lay the cold wrapper on a board and coat a knife with the butter residue. It will keep cakes, tarts, pies, and other baked goods from sticking to the knife, yielding cleaner cuts.
