Pack Scrambled Eggs With Flavor Using One Umami Ingredient

While there are already plenty of ways to spice up scrambled eggs, creative chefs are discovering a new way of giving the dish a boost of flavor: adding the umami soy sauce.
Salt and pepper are standard add-ins for scrambled eggs, but a dash of soy sauce can easily replace that salt and bring a burst of additional flavor to this simple and basic dish.
When using this ingredient, add them to eggs when they first go into the pan and are still in liquid form. This allows the umami to spread evenly and permeate the entire dish.
Keep in mind that not all soy sauces are created equal. You have the option of using a basic soy, premium, and even a dark variety that has a deeper color and a sweeter taste.
