A good chocolate bar should be sweet but have enough bitterness to give the chocolate some character, and Ghirardelli's Intense Dark Chocolate fits the bill.
The dark chocolate Ghirardelli bar tastes rich without becoming overwhelming. The cacao percentage is listed as 72%, so it’s not
especially sweet but also not bitter.
Ghirardelli refers to the 72% chocolate bar as a "bestseller" on its website and explains that you can also find "hints of mocha, blackberry, and dark cherry" in it.
These notes are subtle, but they round out the flavor profile perfectly. The dark chocolate also has less sugar than milk chocolate, with
only 7 grams of sugar per serving.
