One Unexpected Dish You'll Want To Avoid At Texas Roadhouse

If you find yourself scanning the Texas Roadhouse menu for a salad that is more than just greens, you should steer clear of the Steakhouse Filet Salad for various health reasons.
The U.S. Department of Health advises adults to consume no more than 2,870 milligrams of sodium in a day, but the Steakhouse Filet Salad alone packs 2,870 milligrams of sodium.
The dish increases your risk of crossing the sodium limit. As the FDA reports, too much salt can lead to high blood pressure and increased risk of heart attack and stroke.
The filet salad dish also packs a high amount of saturated fat at 25 grams — the American Heart Association advises consuming only 13 grams or less of saturated fat daily.
Exceeding this limit and eating too much saturated fat can also lead to high levels of cholesterol, increasing your risk of suffering from heart disease.
