McDonald's Double Cheeseburger Vs McDouble: What's The Difference?

NEWS

By SARA DONNELLAN

The only difference between a McDonald's Double Cheeseburger and a McDouble is that the former features two slices of cheese while the latter features only one.
While the McDouble is a cheeseburger, only one of its two beef patties — the bottom one, to be specific — is topped with a slice of melty, mild-flavored American cheese.
McDouble’s top patty only has ketchup, mustard, pickles, and onions between it and the bun. Conversely, a Double Cheeseburger has two slices of cheese, one for each of its patties.
The Double Cheeseburger is 440 calories and usually costs $4.19, while the McDouble is 390 calories and costs $3.65. Note that the prices of both burgers may vary by location.
