Make Richer Rice Krispie Treats With One Canned Ingredient

NEWS

By GRETA PANO
Incorporating sweetened condensed milk into your Rice Krispies Treats can make them richer and maintain their gooeyness so that they don't harden and turn stale within days.
For an 8 or 9-inch square pan or a 13 x 9-inch rectangular pan of Rice Krispies, you’ll need ⅓ to ½ cup of sweetened condensed milk for every 4 to 6 tablespoons of melted butter.
After stirring and cooking the cereal mixture for just a minute or two, add your remaining ingredients and follow your favorite recipe as usual.
Refrigerate the treats so that they can set and be easily cut into bars. Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for four days or in the freezer for six weeks.
